Governor McAuliffe Designates NRV Commerce Park Virginia Business Ready Site

Governor McAuliffe announced the New River Valley Commerce Park has been designated as a Virginia Business Ready Tier 4 Site - one of the first four in Virginia with the program's launch in 2016. This means all infrastructure is in place or will be deliverable within one year and all permit issues have been identified or quantified. We are ready to help you site your project here.

The Virginia Business Ready Site Program (VBRSP), administered by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), is a discretionary program established to help Virginia localities develop and market their existing industrial or commercial sites to prospective businesses, thus enhancing the Commonwealth’s infrastructure and promoting its competitive business environment. The governor's press release can be found here.

The First AEP Quality Site in the Appalachian Power Territory

The New River Valley Commerce Park has completed the certification program in 2015 for American Electric Power’s (AEP) Quality Site Program. McCallum Sweeney Consulting conducted a thorough analysis of the property, and certified the New River Valley Commerce Park as a Large Park. The Quality Site Program certifies industrial sites and industrial parks as ready for industrial development. Read the press release for more information here.

Our First Anchor Tenant

Red Sun Farms, LLC, invested $30 million in their first U.S. greenhouse operations - an organic tomato-growing operation on 45 acres at the park in 2014. Read Governor McDonnell's press release for more details on the project.

Flexible lot sizes

The New River Valley Commerce Park has nearly 1,000 acres available to locate your next project. Though there are currently no fixed lots sizes, master planning has shown the most suitable parcels to be in the 75-acre range.

Infrastructure available for advantageous siting

Advantageous, flexible siting options and incentives are available now for prospective new tenants. Essential infrastructure is available now and plans are in place to respond quickly to any additional infrastructure needs a prospective tenant of the New River Valley Commerce Park may have.

Excellent logistics support

The New River Valley Airport and Foreign Trade Zone #238 are literally next door.  With I-81 three miles away on a four-lane highway and quick access to several other interstate routes, your products will be advantageously close to your market.
